windows?

OK recently my windows have been getting slower and seem to be starting to bounce as they roll up towards the top. Is there a problem or do I maybe just need a new battery. I have the same one that came with the car 01. I have two 10 neons that I run frequently and alpine hu. About to have pullies. Any suggestions appreciated? thanks,
James

Its not your battery, I think its the way the door and the window is. My windows do the same thing... they are way to slow and they tend to sqeak when it rains very LOUD, plus almost seems liek they get stuck and bounce on the way up

I wonder if may be the motor is too weak or if it needs some greese

<--- Has stock pullies, and curretnly no major stereo system and still having same problem. Passenger window is slower than drivers side and frequently "jitters" when getting close to the top. It's an 01 as well. I'm gonna complain next time I go past the dealership. It's really annoying that when I roll both windows up simultaneously the passenger window is consistantly 1.5-2" open when the drivers side hits the top.

I think after being on this board for over 1 year... i draw the final conclusion. That our prelude is the retarded child of the honda family..... Windows dont go up properly and at different speeds, overweight, SS trany failure, 5spd sinchros problems, no moding parts, h22 doesnt handle boost all that well, parts are way too exopensive, need crazy amount of offset on wheels just to prevent rubbing, #4 stolen car on the list.....etc etc etc....

THis window problem is common with all Preludes. Both me and my roommate have it. He's got a '00 and I've got a '01. It usually happens when it's cold.

My windows are tinted too... but the tint isn't in the track to cause extra friction or bulk to jam the track... anf if that lil bit of weight causes problems... something's wrong... besides, don't some dealerships tint the windows on the showroom floor modles???

i must agree ... u forgot a couple.
1. cheap interior for the price we paid for it.
2. heavy a$$ car.
3. expensive insurance.
and our car is not on the top 10 cars stolen anymore. Were like #15 or 18 now..

i highly doubt it voids the warranty on your power windows if you install aem pullies. My window does the same thing. Lot of negative people around, I think my lude is awesome I don't think I've experienced any of these so called "lists" of problems.

It is not the pulleys... I've had this problem before I installed my pulleys and it's only the passenger side that has the problem. For some reason it needs to be lubed once in a while and the problem is gone.
