looks like itll be cutting it close. If I were you keep driving and have someone outside tell you where the car's distance to the ground is the LEAST. Then you will know the lowest point the car will ever go. From there calculate if it can take a 1.5" drop.
HTH.

My garage is SICK!!! its such a huge steep hill that when you walk down it, its more like you're running down it..
I have Eibach Sportlines, Koni Yellows set on the second perch, I reverse my car in ALL THE TIME, I do it real slow, I mean SUPER SLOW, If i go to fast like 3mph I scrape the front bumper and when i go back down my muffler scrapes, but just back in SLOW!
i have h&r sports... the best test is, if u backout of your driveway and it rubs even with stock springs, then definitely youre going to scrape with the HR's. it all depends on the steepness of your driveway.... if its got any sort of un-flattened curb, you'll scrape, so you may have to enter/exit at an angle.
Of course she's gonna rub! But hey, as the above response suggests, QUARTER curbs and other obstacles. You know, take 'em at a 45 degree angle, just like how a competent boater tackles waves...
This is a tradeoff you gotta live with. Normally you can find multiple entrances/exits to stores/malls, etc. but if your home curb sucks, maybe you should move! :-)
Anyway, you'll be doing a public service in the winter tho...your neighbourhood won't have to wait for a grader to clear the streets, that air dam will do a pretty good job itself!
my drive way is pretty steep .... i got 1.5 inch drop with progress springs and it will scrap ... i have to go at it at a angle ....... and i have a wings west kit sitting in the garage ... adn i plan to install it then figure out what to do ..... my saying is ... the hell with it just do it and see what happens ...........not sure u wanna do that tho ........... here is a questions for u guys ... my car when i angle it to go up my drive way its so steep that the back right tire lifts off the ground !!! i am 3 wheeling ....... i know this is bad for my frame it may tweak it over time ..... what do u guys think ??? let me know i may pay someone to re do my drive way .... maybe u should try that
My dad's driveway is worse than that, but then again I never drive out that way. You've got to turn your car 180 degrees going in and out.
When I go in I start at a high angle--probably about 60 degrees and lead with the front right wheel turned atleast 30-40 degrees--SLOWLY.
I back out the same way with just barely getting the rear wheels to the street--maybe even a few feet before since his driveway angles out near the street-- then cutting the wheel and in both cases almost lifting the front left wheel off the ground(I'm sure it just feels that way).
I have about 1.5-1.7" drop, but no chin spoiler. But like I said, I think my dad's driveway is steeper than yours. Just try doing it the opposite way than in those pics and see the difference, both when the rear is in the same position as the first pic, and then when the front is at a 45 degree angle with only one of the front wheels(depending on which direction you turn in from) on the driveway and the rest on the street.
Good luck
EDIT: My bad, I didn't pan over and see that garage. That changes things a bit. I would still see if you can back in then--It's still the same concept except you can't take advantage of the turning angle situation as much or at all.
If that's the end of your driveway behind the front tire, the car won't scrape when going up. H&R drop isnt' really that low and your front lip will be just millimeters from the driveway, but shouldn't scrape. My driveway is way steeper and it doesn't scrape at all. I have a 1.75 drop, but 18's. I go up my driveway at 5mph and nothing happens. But, when I see someone else drive it up for me and I check the distance, it's very close. My driveway is ridiculous, it's literally about 40 degrees (at the bottom). Just to think, we asked the builder not to make it steep. Sheesh!
