will this lude ever just drive properly?!?!

So the old clutch on my car suddenly decided to fall apart a few weeks ago. Due to my college work load I had no time to install a new clutch myself, so I had a local mechanic do the job for me. Now that I have the car back, the car shifts really stiffly and unwillingly into second and particularly first gear (it's a manual transmission) when I need to downshift at low speeds. There also seems to be a good amount of axle or CV joint "clunk" noise coming from car when I turn the wheel alot or come to a complete stop or take off from a complete stop. It didn't have any of these problems before it went into the shop. Anyone out there have any clue what this mechanic could have f@#*ed up on my 97 lude and how I can go about fixing it all?

Go back to him and show the problems. Shifting issue's could be from alot of things
-Fluid
-Master or Slave cylinder
-Master cylinder adjustments
-Clutch install incorrectly
-Tranny mounts installed in a bad position causing the axle problem

A good number of things can cause problems and their could be more than one issue. I would go back asap and have it re-fixed. Before that have the car diagnosed by someone experienced with Honda's, and if they find it to be at fault of the mechanic you can get this fixed for free most likely.
