will an euro R swap bring an end to my prelude tragedy?

http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30019

after much research, it seems to me like this euro R swap here ^^ is my best option, as far as 'not having to worry about my car' is concerned...

yes i am one of the unfortunate mass of people with screwed up auto trannys..

yes i wanna blow my brains out..

but yah. my engine has about 140+ k on it and its full of leaks and what not, i just dont wanna deal with it, so I wanna go with this euro R swap.

i heard this transmission is the best as far as reliability is concerned, the type S swap is cheap probably cuz of that tranny being unreliable... , and also it has ATTS which wont fit in my car since its a base.

ive read on some threads that the EURO r will fit well on a base prelude, is that true? i need some experts from this board to back me up.. give me some support im so fed up.. like you wouldnt believe. not one day did i drive out of my garage feeling like "my car has NOOO problems at all" well its about time, I am gonna work all summer long to make the 4000 dollars, may need more.. but I will do this GD swap.. if its the last thing I do.

if anybody else has a better suggestion or precautions I would be happy to read your comments/pms.

Thank you.

^^ Wow man sounds like your lude has been nothing but problems. I know how you feel though. I used to have an auto lude and hated the fact the tranny was a POS. I sold em before it had the chance to blow up. Well Good luck with this swap man!
Btw, my $335 should be a good start on this $4k swap

Hmmm I would buy another car and save the money you have. The Euro R swap doesn't do much at all. Only reason is. You will get more troubles and you will stress even more seriously. This crap has happened to me. My Story : Bought an SS. SS was dieing. Fixed SS for 3k. Engine was ****ed didn't realize it. SS ****ed up again. I Sold the car and you know what I was the happiest kiwi in the world. I bought a whole new car an S Spec I feel better. Next car is definitely an NSX

$3.8k is a lot to spend on...........an engine. That's it.

Just sell your car for what you can and add that to the $k and go buy another lower mileage 5-spd.

Now, if you go find one of those typical H22a's from an SiR on craigslist for like $1-1.2k, that my not be a bad investment.

If you want the extra 20 crank hp, just add some cams, a good header, and a tuneable ecu, shouldn't run you more than $1.5k.

H22a swap or just buy another car. Dropping $4k into car that is probably only worth around $6k is a waste.
