Will a 4th Gen OEM Spoiler fit a 5th Gen?

I have a 5th gen prelude base model and found a 4th gen spoiler that matches the color of my prelude for cheap($50) will it fit my prelude and look like it belongs to a 5th gen lude?

yes and no. It will fit with modification. Will it look good? That is questionable since it wasn't designed for a linear and non-curvy 5th gen. I was designed for a spaceship looking curvy as hell 4th gen.

first of all you will need to drill holes and make sure everything lines up. Get ready to measure and re-measure many times.

What type of 4th gen spoiler? there are a few kinds. Any pics?

You can mod/drill/whatever almost any spoiler onto a trunk, but the important thing is if it looks good to you.

Are you putting on a 4th Gen OEM Spoiler cuz you like it, or because you got it for cheap?

I ask this because if you had to ask, you probably won't be doing it yourself, and getting a shop to mount it, and re-paint it if you'd want would be a fair bit of cash (I'd know...I had a Type R Spoiler painted and installed on my Lude and the process was more than the spoiler) and with that in mind you might as well put on a spoiler that you really think looks good.

He said the spoiler color matches his car.

If he knows what he is doing, he can install the spoiler himself. It's one of the easiest things to do. Not like he is gonna be replacing a timing belt or swapping transmission.

To the OP - That spoiler will not look good on a 5th gen. Notice how it slopes on each side so it flows with 4th gen tail lights? 5th gen doesn't have that rear.

Yes the only reason I was looking into getting the spoiler is because it was already painted the color I needed. As far as the drilling and measuring I have no issue with.

But after all Im going to go ahead and wait for a 5th gen spoiler just because most of the replies are correct it will just not look good.
