Wicked loud noise when cold

Now that the cold weather is consistent in Massachusetts, my lude has been making a loud whining noise coming from the power steering area and my power steering has stiffened as well. When the car is warmed up and has been driven for a while, the noise goes away and my car drives fine.

Btw my dad stupidly put a little bit of power steering fluid in the system that wasn't Honda, but the noise had been happening a couple weeks prior to him doing that and a month after him doing that and also the weather has gotten much colder since then...reaching as low as 7 degree and 15 degrees through the daytime. The car has a little less than 58k miles on it, but I don't think the previous owner has changed any of the belts since it was first purchased. What do you guys think is happening with my car? Or what do you guys recommend me doing? I've been planning on changing the belts for a while now, just saving up to do so.

Fluid is old and freezing, get a case of PS fluid from Honda and flush it by removing the return hose from the reservoir, crank the car and let it all pour out into a bucket. Take it to any auto parts store for disposal, refill the system turning the steering wheel lock to lock over and over until you get all the air out, it'll stop whining when the air is removed.

Agreed though. Drain it all and replace it.

So I changed the fluid, but the noise is still there when its wicked cold out. When its warm, its perfectly fine. While I was changing the fluid, the same noise happened when I disconnected the return line from the pump to the reservoir, but went away after I reconnected the line. What else could this be? Bad pump?
