who here has NSX brakes?

I'm looking into a big brake kit and it would seem like NSX calipers and rotors are more economical than the endless/spoon/brembo or even AEM caliper/rotor kits.

can someone give me info on these calipers?
are they two or four piston?

The NSX setup is a dual piston, 36mm and a 40mm piston. This setup is probally the best upgrade for most of the people out there if you're looking to switch out your calipers. I actually have a full package ready to go if you're looking to buy. It's an increase of 1" and a much thicker rotor, and to top it off it still fits under your stock rims and most 15" autocrossing rims.

The Brembo 4 pot package I actually don't know of anyone that was able to get it to install on a Prelude. This is because the calipers are so wide you'll be very hard pressed to find a set of rims that will go over the calipers themselves.

Spoon calipers are designed for Type-R's and have a different offset. So if you don't check your pads often I wouldn't recommend this setup since you can really mess up your brake system if you get it down to the shims.

AEM... I wouldn't recommend their system at all. Why? Since they still use the stock caliper you don't increase the efficency that the pad is clamping to the rotor at all. Since all they include is a new larger rotor and a bracket to mount the stock caliper upon.

There's also the Baer setup which is a pretty nice setup. However, they have the same problem as the Brembo's (not quite as much though, 1/4" smaller) and only thinly spoked rims will fit them.

How much would this cost just for the parts. I'll do the install home.

It's not too hard at all, just some basic tools and an air compressor will get the job done. Here's a good article that someone wrote on Hondaprelude.com

http://www.hondaprelude.com/resources/article.asp?id=30

It shows how to do everything, from step one to the end.
