I'm interested to know if anyone knows who makes a good REPLICA of MUGEN kit. I know real deal is the way to go..... but i dont want to drop crazy amount of money on it.
I remember someone on this board was working for VIS racing? and said they can physically check for imperfections in the kit.
WHO WAS IT?
ALSO.... where to get the mugen replica cheap?

Anyone know if Mugen front can be taken off easily on your own ... or you have to go to the shop for it?
I have ViS and I must say, I am surprised how good the quality is. The fitment is OK - the bumper is a little into the fender, like 1 mm but otherwise, there aren't any noticeable imperfections. After 2 years, my bumper has taken quite a beating...it has hit the ground on those extreme inclines and scraped countless number of times EVERYWHERE (lowered 1.5 inches) and it is still in one piece!! No cracking whatsoever ...My bumper is held on only by two bolts on the sides of the bumper so it is really easy to take off lol
I have a VIS Mugen replica on my car. Anyway, the quality is pretty good I must say. I have scraped it a couple of times and it is yet to crack. The fitment is good except for their is a fair sized gap between the front corner of the fender and the bumper. and the bumper doesn't quite line up perfect with the fender. I'm gonna try and have it adjusted a bit by a body shop so it's not so bad. Beware though, I specifically requested one that doesn't have a ugly indent for a license plate but I got that one anyway! I had to have the indent filled in.

VIS Mugen replica front bumper & OEM style CF hood, Honda optional side and rear skirts
What happens to the STYROFOAM lining on the front metal support. does it still being used or it doesnt fit with it?
Also... i saw a lil video on VIS site saying something about their new kits are less likely to crack... and they show them bending body kit parts and standing on them and it didnt break. anyone know anything about that?
How much lower is the mUgen front VS. oem w/ WW RS lip ?
can they paint the kit in 2 different colors or is that only possible on real kit?

My Mugen front fit perfectly.
Mine is a Rev-Competition front bumper.
A OT question about Mugen bumpers: How do you guys have yours mounted? I only have the 2 screws on the fender and that's the only thing that the bumper holds on to and I'm kind of worried about it flying off one day, although I've been driving around like this for over a year and nothing's really happened so far. I just want piece of mind.
I can't directly answer your question about the front bumper specifically, but I DO have the ViS Mugen replica sides and rears and the quality of the fiberglass and the fit is top notch. So good in fact that I was able to fit the pieces and make the adjustments myself. All the body shop did was prime and paint the pieces.

That is the GTP Blue-Class and I think only importfan.com offers those kinds of bendable bumpers. I took out that taped-on block off of the front metal bumper support. I would say that Mugen front is about the same height as the OEM lip because my OEM sides match the Mugen front perfectly. The RS lip is lower than mugen and OEM. I have my middle grill part and turn signal areas painted silver metallic, so yes, it is possible to get painted two colors
Buhbuh: I have 2 screws in the fenders as well. It has been 2 years and my bumper still hasn't fallen off lol
NoRice4U: Hmm... are you still using those OEM plastic Honda screw thingies too? Because those are the things I don't trust. I want to somehow reinforce it with industrial strength velcro or something, but I don't know how.

yeah, I'm using those plastic, stock grommets. I have hit so many things on the road and the bumper is still on. In addition to the screws that hold up the bumper, the bumper is also clamped down between the headlight and the front bumper support. The bumper is able stay on the car even without the screws because of the clamping force the headlights provide.

so the Mugen front does not use any OEM support points other then screws on the fender.
What about the bottom?
Whats the difference between YELLOW GEL and BLUE GEL coating on the body kit.
I heard you suppose to put Rubber washers between the body and the FG so that vibrations dont crack it?
JACKY : what kind of kits do they sell at this warehouse? cause i think i might wanna go for the VIS brand.

Some people chose to put some more bolts at the bottom but I neglected to do that. I haven't heard of any yellow gel or blue gel coatings. I don't have rubber washers =/
