I replaced the headgasket and the car runs fine now, but the engine check light is on, and it's the knock sensor. I guess i forgot to plug the connector back in. anyone has an idea where the sensor is?? I looked around the engine and couldn't find any unconnected sensor.

It's on the back side of the motor (facing the firewall) under the intake manifold. It's almost impossible to get to w/o removing the manifold on the TypeSH, on other models it should be accessible from underneath.

Just curious, what on the SH makes it impossible to access?

how to access to remove the KS ? my CEL is on ,i did test why the CEL is on ? it turn some thing is wrong with the Knock sensor, so i need to replace it...can anyone help me out on this.my car is 97 automatic...install and replacement plz?
is it a good way to get used KS from other prelude parting out.....
Yeah the SH you CANT get to it without removing the ATTS or the intake manifold. Believe me, even with the engine out of the car it was impossible to get to. I ended up having to take my intake back off because i put it on before i started the wiring harness
how about with the 97 base.... same thing???so u access to it underneath the car or just under the hood behind the top of the engine..... im so confused...sorry.
is it easy to install, just throw out the bad one and swap install in the new one ... that's it rite......
you might be able to get to it from under the car (its under the intake manifold on the back of the engine). You're going to have the axles/intermediate shaft in your way. You'll need a large deep socket, or an adjustable wrench to get it off, pop the new one on and you should be good.
It's near the oil Filter, on the under side of the intake manifold. You can get at it from underneath. The old ones are really fragile its possibly you broke it and didn't know it. I broke mine in half by bumping it with a small wrench while I was taking my intake manifold off to replace the gaskets.

you can use the used one if its not broken. The one on my new engine was busted so i used the one from my old engine (that had 236k miles on it) and it works without a hitch. Hasnt thrown a code or run funny yet so...
