I have a 97 base lude with 110k miles and need to smog next month. I have DC headers and Tanabe exhaust with a test pipe. Where can i get a high flow Cat to pass emssions without spending like $600

I have check engine code 67 and have been searching for a high flow catalytic converter. I have found some interesting ones on eBay like 1999sh posted, but here they have a good selection too:

You can't just buy any old CAT and be done with it. There was a law passed in Jan 2009 you have to get an obdII carb approved cat. It's illegal for any muffler shop to install anything but.

No it won't. Read the description. If it's a retailer selling it, it's illegal for them to sell that or ship it to California resident. If you bring it to a muffler shop they won't install it. Only way you can get this to work is if somehow you get it and are able to install it yourself.

This catalytic converter is not California CARB OBDII compliant. Please check with your state and local laws to determine proper compliance.

English owns you. I don't understand what you're trying to say.

If you're not a resident of California then it doesn't matter. Or if you are a California resident and did this pre Jan 2009 then it's fine. Otherwise you can't bring anything to a shop and have them weld it in unless it's one of the 2 circumstances: It's carb obdII certified or you have a crooked shop who doesn't care and risks getting fined.
