wheels? what wheels?

I was ready to go to work 5:00 am in the morning (happened about a month ago), and saw this :

and yes I do have an alarm (KARR, came with the car) and had wheels locks (the wheel locks are on the ground) on my 18 X 7.5 Volk GTP wheels. The thieves left their jack up in the front. I sure don't recommend the Volk lugnuts w/locks. They are very easy to take off. I would share the info, but people might get some ideas. I should bought some different lug nuts & wheels locks. BTW I parked right next to my house (on the left). I thank God that they didn't take the whole car. Maybe because I had an Autolock on. BTW you don't need a tilt sensor for your alarm to prevent someone from stealing your wheels.

2 weeks later, I ran over a big rock on the ramp to the freeway and f'd up my oil pan. I took it to the Honda dealer and they replaced the oil pan. They test drove it and blew up my boosted engine (fried all the pistons, block & head).

My auto insurance paid for my wheels (& tires) and a new engine (Honda paid about 8 grand for the engine). All I paid was $500 (my deductible) for a new engine.

Damn those are nice wheels ya got there! Are those 9 in wheelz yo? Imagine how fast the car must be without the weight of regular big heavy wheels and tires!

Yea, glad the insurance covered everything. Nice deductable.

Sucks you had to go through that. Hope everything is running better now.

I think my car is cursed so I took off the Greddy turbo kit & type 31 IC. I'm also going to take off my Greddy Evo exhaust, but I have to find a stock exhaust or just go RSR Exmag. I also have 2 extra (Volk GTP 18 x 7.5 +49 offset) wheels that I'm considering about selling (without tires). I bought them (when I bought the other 4) just in case the ones on my car got messed up.

Put a set of McGard wheel locks on. Every set is unique and they come with a serial number that you need to keep in your files... if you lose the key that it comes with you can call their headquarters and have them machine you a new key. I got my set at my local race shop it cost about 45 bucks for four locks and a key.. well worth it though.. other locks like Gorilla all have the same key if im not mistaken, and every two bit thief in the country after wheels probably keeps one in his back pocket.
