That's some bad advice my friend!!

Y would u want him to have negative camber just to avoid rubbing? The neg. camber will eat up his tires in ~5kmiles!!!
What I would suggest is to try and get some rims in 45+ offset. I personally was going for 16" Sub-Zeros, but due to incorrect offset, I'm goin w/17's (offset of 45) instead.
An offset of 40 is gonna rub, especially in hard-cornering/U-turns, etc..
If ur willing to live w/that then go for it. Also, don't lower ur car more than 1.5" cuz chances are ur gonna need a camber kit as well.
