What would I need to install DC Header + AEM Pulleys
I bought both of these and I want to install them. A friend of mine was supposed to do it but he's been busy for the last 3 weeks. I'm wondering if I could do the install myself. I have a 98 Prelude with around 40k miles on it and I don't have a garage or a lift. I can borrow a jack so that I'll have two jacks, but no jack stands. Now I have a craftsman 150-piece toolkit and thats about it for tools. I mean I'm at a college campus for god sakes. Anyways - what do you guys recommend. I don't wanna spend a ****load of money on something that I could do myself.
I sure think installing pulleys without an air impack wrench would be quite hard. The nut holding the alternator pulley is a friggin bish to get off. I don't think there is any chance getting it off by hand without breaking a few torque breaker bars.

80lbs on the alt nut. very imp to get the gun or get afriend to drive you to a shop to taake it off. since you have limited tools it will be hard to finish the pulley install. all you need is a ratchet and sockets for the header/pulleys. just that 1 nut
if you have a 3 ton jack its ok to get yunder the car but stands are best
I was thinking about installing pullies too...i got jack stands tho... but as for the impact gun--do you guys think that a shop will take off that one alternator bolt? or will they give me **** and say we'll install the pullies for you
Thanks

They will do it for u i would think. Some people did that here
Forklift is possible, but lets not forget that cars have specific lift points, and i doubt the forklift's arms are perfecting aligned to those lift points. Although i see em do it in the junk yard when transporting them around, but they arent lifting them for hours on end and doing work on them.
Does anyone have any idea how electric impact wrenches preform? There's a craftsman on for $160. Beats buying a $250 compressor plus a $150 air impact tool.
