i have some nice 18'' wheels on my lude and sick of seeing my stock fugly brakes and small rotors. What suggestions do people have or mods did they do to there ludes to improve looks and braking? Im probally thinking of bigger slotted rotors and some nice painted calipers. Any suggestions?
if you get bigger rotors, theres a good chance that the stockers wont fit over the bigger rotors and caliper
or you can get a big brake kit, which again, rotors and caliper wont clear the stockers, except if you go with Rotora's and a spacer
if you dont plan on going back to the stockers, i say get a big brake kit from Stop Tech or Brembo...best bang for the $$$ to most $$$ in that order
or you can just get Brembo blanks, good pads, SS lines and Motul Brake Fluid and call it a day...or Powerslot or Rotora slotted rotors

The cheapest BBK you can buy is the Baer Track at $650. It's not a bad system. It uses stock Corvette calipers which is why it is cheaper. I think it uses a 13" rotor which will fill out your wheels nicely.

You can always just upgrade the rotors, lines and pads without getting a BBK.. that will probably be cheaper. I just bought 4 rotora slotted rotors w/ 4 Axxis Ultimate Pads for $400, so add new ss lines and you're at about $500-600.
The Baer is a really good buy. You'll spend at least $550 on good rotors, pads, and SS lines. You can get the Baer for $650 and it includes new front rotors, pads, and front SS lines. All you have to do is get some new stickier pads for the rear and you're set. The Rotora is a better system, but it's twice as expensive as the Baer. As ludehawk will tell you, if you buy the Rotora, you always have to buy their pads because they are unique to their caliper. Since I think the Baer uses adapted Corvette calipers, you can probably get any pad made for that year Corvette, but don't quote me on that.
Definitely don't waste your money on the AEM front big rotor kit. You can get the Baer for the same price and it's a REAL BBK.

for the baer kit does it come with new slotted rotors or larger ones or same as oem? and thats just the front right? i need to buy back ones as well if i wanted it to match right or just new rotors and pads like you said? any sites i could check these out?
The Baer comes with new larger 13" rotors, but they are not slotted or drilled. They will look like stock, only larger. For that reason, there is no need to get new rear rotors to match.
