yah, you need to bring your car into the dealer to show then that it's your car (anyone can get vin#'s from other cars). then they will be able to give you that code. had to do it once when my old used civicEX had the anti-theft protection but the place I bought it from didnt have the code. stupid of them...
as above if you radio doesnt say code, then your radio might be damaged.

BULL****! No one here knows what they are talking about!!!!
I'm guessing that before you got the correct code you tried several times w/ the wrong code. What happens is the theft deterrent of the radio kicks in. The system goes into lock mode where it doesn't accept ANY codes even if it is the right one.
You need to leave you radio on for 1HR; then you will hear an audible beep; meaning you can begin to reenter your code again.
You need to leave the radio on for 1HR! {it might be less, but I thought it was about an hour}
This happened to me after I removed my battery. I started driving, and my code(manual) was in my trunk, so I kept guessing, then I got locked out of the radio. I drove for an hour and then I reentered the right code. VIOLA!
I hope this helps ... {if it doesn't ... I'm still right cuz that's how these radio work.

NVR2FST is right! But to add to that, you don't have to wait an hour. Just disconnect your battery and reconnect...then enter your code. You have three chances to get it right, then you have to disconnect the battery again. That's for the impatient types, like me.
