What exhaust should I go with?

Ive just got my first lude a week ago. It is a 2001 Base 5-speed. I love it! Im looking to get some tone out of my exhaust. I am happy with the stock performance but I want it to sound better. I am also thinking of some slight mods. A short throw, cold air, HIDs and maybe drop it an inch or 2. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

My guess is there might be flaming in this thread soon...

Given the way your question was asked I'd say: Personally if it were me, I'd go to youtube and listen to some sounds of the different exhaust...sound is such a personal thing what we might like, you might hate...Now if you said you wanted more performance...that's an entirely different animal...

I second this. haha

Well I got an apexi n1 catback on mines. Some people will say it's a little too loud, but it sounds nice and deep imo. If you don't want it to be too loud where it sets off alarms and stuff, should go with apexi world sport.

well, personally I like the sound/look of the apexi ws2 exhaust.

mostly because it doesn't make my car sound like a weedwacker. XD

If you are just looking for a little more tone the Apexi WS2 will be fine. I currently have a Tanabe Super Hyper Medalion with 2.5" piping. 2.5" collector mod, Mangaflow Hi-Flow Cat, Vibrant Ultra Silent Resonator, the eBay 2.5" piping with the resonator and a Tanabe Super Hyper Medalion Axelback from a accord. And i think its still loud. I just ordered a 22" Mangaflow resonator. I might differ from another persons perspective of a loud exhaust.

I really love my Skunk2 MegaPower, some don't like it, but I wouldn't go with anything else personally...except a Mugen haha

OR... if you want a close to factory look with better tone; go with obx(forza tuning). They are really cheap price wise and leave you options to figure out how far you wanna take your exhaust. They are fiberglass packed and full stainless. They have many styles and options. But like everyone says, research and see what you like. So far, my exhaust is stock except for the muffler. It gives a smooth, deep tone while driving, does not sound all ricey.
