Thanks for the compliments guys. Yeah, the whole kit is fiberglass (which is a pain by the way, not so much down here in FL but up in ME it was a bad idea).
I attached a couple pics but it was overcast when I took them so they didnt come out as great as I'd hoped. Tomorrow morning I'll take some more if its sunny.
Now, help me pick out some rims!
Wow, your pictures beat the hell out of mine, so much deeper a color.. I hadn't noticed that you had aftermarket headlights, I think your lude looks very tasteful. If you want my opinion rims wise keep it tasteful and it will continue to look nice. Keep up the good work.

And I'm not sure you can call them aftermarket headlights. They're OEM just with projectors retrofitted.
The difference between my camera phone and any real camera would be a bit much, I am glad you posted some good pictures, it makes all the difference. Quite an investment you have in your car, I take it the car has treated you right? I wouldn't mind investing in mine but it has a rough idle and a few other little quirks(I haven't been able to figure out) that make me wary about throwing money into it. Have you found a good mechanic in the area?

I bought the car about 6 years ago. I had it for 3 months and a case bearing in the transmission went and ruined my second gear. Unfortunately it is an SS which is really holding me back with mods I'd like to do. I am soooo tempted to buy a JRSC but I cant get rid of the stupid factory ECU because of the tranny so I feel like I wont be able to properly tune it. Other than having the transmission rebuilt I do all the work on it myself. I was actually buying myself a toolkit when you took the pictures that started this whole thread haha I haven't had any other problems at all and it runs great. I commute 106 miles to work and back everyday and get ~28mpg between city and highway. It does use a bit of oil so I just bought a Golden Eagle cam seal and a few other things. Time for a tune-up!

So you do all your own work? I have a friend who has helped me do an egr port cleaning and such, I don't drive highway much at all and I get about 22 mpg or just under it every week, but I also find it very hard not to vtec it when I am driving.. it is just fun to drive hard(don't criticize, it is part of why I bought the car).. I have had a timing belt squeal since I bought the car (and I wonder how much that may affect things), supposedly because it was overtightened, otherwise I am not sure what I should do to further maintain it, I know I should get better gas mileage locally, and I feel like I have to give it too much gas to pull off first gear. Maybe I should make a separate thread, but since there is already a local here why not pick your brain.
Anyways, give me your thoughts.. and sorry if anything is unclear, but I just woke up and have to get ready for work, thanks in advance.

Are you sure its the timing belt that squeals? Its a toothed belt so it def. shouldnt be slipping. If it is, you have bigger problems. The H22 has an auto belt tensioner so I dont see how it could be too tight, unless it was swapped for an H23 manual tensioner. We should meet up sometime and we can take a look at it.
Black rims often look ugly IMO, could be because they remind me of what cars look like when they've got snow tires on, not sure. Though the silver ring around it is pretty cool.
I think on your car the best looking would be silver, be it shiny or not, but definately some straight spokes as the base model "blades" look outdated.
I think some AP1 rims would complete your look much better.
Strangely, I think the Kazeras would look better on my white pearl Lude.

When I first thought about getting rims, however many years ago, those were what i wanted. I never really looked into them because I didnt think they would fit being from a RWD car and all. I do like how silver wheels would look on the car.
Oh. and Allude2Prelude9 I thought I should let you know.. there was a small car club that was meeting at the corner of dunlawton and us1 in port orange next to hardees, I found out about them through a guy there who had a pretty pimped out(depending on your taste) lude..
I only tell you because they know where all the car shows are, and I am pretty sure they compete in them and a win a fair share too.. just thought you should know. They were meeting at 7 or 8pm on thursdays.. just letting you know(I don't have time, money, nor am I the right age) I would think your lude would beat any of their cars hands down.

I'd have to agree with the black rims comment. Imo they make cars look dirty and it looks like you're rolling around with spares. That's not to say the look can't be pulled off I've just never cared for it. I like 5 or 6 spoke polished aluminum. Mmmmmm shiny metal. Lol
