What exact color is this prelude?

It is going to drive me crazy, all I had with me was my camera phone and this color looked amazing.. Does anyone know what color this is exactly? It isn't electric blue is it?

I am not sure what color that car was, but that is a color I would spend my hard earned money to have.

That is seriously ironic, but I guess fitting considering where I live huh? Awesome, you just made my day. Good choice in color btw.

EDIT: After googling it a bit I see that each paint job looks a little different, or maybe it has something to do with the camera? Like this guys looks kinda.. flat. fresh-daytona-blue-paint-jdm-integra

And so far I can't find how much a paint job like this would cost.. man the prelude I took pictures of looks so nice..

You guys sure it isn't Electron Blue Pearl? Not enough detail from the camera to tell.

Shimee, I think it is a little to dark and rich to be EBP, personally. I agree with it being Daytona blue, I"ve seen that on many cars over the years, and after searching around, it matches up quite a bit.

Oh yeah, and there is a guy on here with THAT EXACT COLOR painted Lude, I think that's pretty convincing in itself...

When I google the daytona blue color some of the results look less dark and maybe a little less rich, you say you saw many over the years, were they all pretty close to each other in quality? I already found what appears to be a knock off version of the paint I think.. Oh, and you happen to remember where pics might be for the guy you said was on here with that exact color, I would like to check it out.

Oh, and do you have any clue how much a paint job like that one might cost? I remember my mom paid over 3k for a crappy red color on her celica, and I am pretty sure it has much less surface area than a lude does.. then again maybe she got ripped off, I am totally clueless when it comes to paint jobs.

I'd guess it would probably cost at least $3.5k for a decent quality job of Daytona Blue

The main cars I head of with that color were 60's era corvettes, they were daytona blue from the factory, and they were darker, like you said. That color seems a little light too, but if there is a guy who says that color looks like his, and his is confirmed by him to be painted daytona blue, then I'd say either settle and paint it that color, or search for other hues of blue that suit you better.

That color of dark-metallic-like blue is very nice, and would be bad-ass if you painted your car that--props man. Good luck.

I can say with 100% confidence that color is 3 layers of fine metallic Orion Silver underneath 5 layers of Kandy Cobalt Blue all made by House of Kolors. That's my car BTW and I just joined because I was excited someone was talking about my car I was just browsing the forum and happened to click on the thread and was like OMG thats my car! All the body work was done by a shop in Maine (notice the plate) and was about $4500. I have lots of pictures of the whole process if anyone is interested. Where was I when you took that pic? I can't seem to figure it out...

I can say with 100% confidence that your car/color is sexy as hell. It almost makes me wish I hadn't gone with WDP.

Is your front bumper fiberglass? What about your sides/rear?

You were parked in front of sears and I think I was about to go get a new george foreman grill.. I was so impressed by the car, very clean all around. Very unique. This is literally the first paint job I have seen that actually seems like it was worth the money(it is a fair amount to drop on a car).

Anyways sweet lude. EDIT: Oh, and of course post some pictures if you can.. from seeing the car firsthand I can say my phone camera doesn't do the car justice by a longshot.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Yeah, the whole kit is fiberglass (which is a pain by the way, not so much down here in FL but up in ME it was a bad idea).

I attached a couple pics but it was overcast when I took them so they didnt come out as great as I'd hoped. Tomorrow morning I'll take some more if its sunny.

Now, help me pick out some rims!
