my guess would be when the clutch pedal is down(clutch disengaged) the flywheel spins with no drag or whatever u want to call it, when u let up on the clutch it grabs the flywheel and since the tranny is still cold the clutch grabs a bit harder than when its warm and bogs the engine down and when u finish releasing the clutch pedal the rpm's go back up
