hey i had this thing for some time now.. each time i realease the clutch when i am moving slow, ie <15 mph, in 1st gear, right before the engage point it makes a click sounds. it doesnt do it when the car is at a full stop, but as soon as it gets moving a little and clutch released it clicks again, and if i push it in and out it does it simultaneously. what is goin on? is my clutch worn or somethin?? thanks

There is a switch that turns off cruise control when you hit the clutch pedal, maybe it is the switch you hear clicking on and off when the pedal engages and disengages the switch?
hmm.. i guess ur right but its really weird, the sounds is pretty loud, like i can hear it well outside when i let my friend do it, and then at the dealer they said its normal and its just a clutch relay switch or somethin like that... i dont know it sounds loud and breaky to me.... sorry for pointing it out if u never noticed it before, hehe now its gonna like bother u guys each time u start in first...

yea, I will listen next time I am in the car and let you know what I think, could just be how the clutch naturally sounds. I would doubt it was that cruise switch if you can hear it outside. I know for sure my pedal squeaks, but that is normal.
I noticed the click about 1 month after buying my lude. I upgraded the flywheel, disk, and pressure plate, and the car no longer makes the clicking sound. My guess is it was a quirk common to the stock disk. It never developed into anything serious however *shrug*
Does it feel like the clutch pedal is "sticking" when it makes the noise? Almost feels like you have gum on your shoe?
I had something like that and it turned out to be the floormat, it had moved out of place and was blocking the travel of the clutch pedal Stupid, but I was relieved. I assume you already checked simple things like that though :\
ya its def not the floor mat and it always makes the sounds, rain or shine, its like halfway up from the floor and it goes CLICK and i got AHHHH cause once u notice it its the only thing u notice when u shift and its soooooooooo annoying!!!!

I love my Prelude but it has the most inconsistent clutch of any car I've ever owned (including a Ford Escort, for god's sake!). It never seems to slip, but the engagement point is a constantly moving target. I don't remember any clicks, but it sometimes makes some strange groaning like the throwout bearing is having a hard time of it. I was gonna try to put more miles on the stock clutch before I went aftermarket, but it really drives me crazy sometimes and it sucks to hear others are also having such problems with the clutch.

When I am in slow moving traffic in 1st gear, my clutch seems to make a very quite metal knock noise when I lift the clutch pedal? If I push the clutch pedal down, there is no noise, but when releasing the pedal, there is a very quite knock sound. This is like the metal plates making contact? This only happens when in slow moving traffic with gentle use of the clutch.
hell...mines does that from dead stop...in 1st gear...reverse...hot...cold...its hella annoying...i can even kinda feel that clicking on the clutch pedal
