Weird ABS problem

Ok, my lude ABS light would go on for a week or two then go off for a day then come back on again. Any ideas what could be the source of the problem. And yes I did clean the brake and wheel base very well, also checked the brake fluid. Any input would be great.

BTW does anybody know where the Diagnostic sensor is for the 5th Gen.

on the passenger side on the side of center console on the ground there is a small cover that is rapped in carpet , pull this out to reveal the OBDII socket, on the top right hand corner there is a blue plastic snap push the end together and pull out the clip, then pull out the ABS sensor socket.

Jump the socket with a paper clip then start the car and check the abs lamp on the dash counting the flashes.. I'll send you the full write up if you don't already have it.
