Washed my car title in the waching machine after just baught it...

I have a situation here now... I recently bought a prelude and the title is signed by the seller and he written my name on it and i signed it. My wife washed my pants and didn't take my title out of my pants.. how do i get another one, the title is in pieces but its like a puzzle and missing the a little of the who right side.. you can still see the vin number and the and you can still see his signature and my signature. How do i get another title??? so i can take it to smog.. thanks

you have to ask the guy you bought it from to get a duplicate copy of the title at the local dmv. here in NH a duplicate title is 25 bucks. not sure of what it might be elsewhere. good luck.

you have to go through him. cause hes the original owner and it was titled in his name. you can call him and have him mail it to you and when you get it you could mail him the money for it or whatever.

Don't forget to slap your wife and charge her the $25.
