warranty rules!

check this out!

I had a MAJOR oil leak, so i took it in. It has 67K on it, and I was kinda scared. The cam valves were leaking, so I needed to get a new timing belt and a buch of other crap. Thanks to my extended warranty, its only 100$ installed for everything! (LOL, LAST TIME IT WAS 100$ FOR A NEW SS TRANNY, AFTER THAT BLEW!) By the way, if im still under warranty when this ss tranny blows, can i swap for some extra $$, or will they tell me to buzz off?

It really depends on what dealership you bring it to. The usual honda dealer I bring mine too is a bunch of jerks. They won't cover anything. While the other dealership on the other side of town will. As for swapping out the SS tranny if it goes good luck. I highly doubt they will do it, actually I'm almost sure they won't.

new ss tranny
replaced pulleys
oil pan gasket leak
condensation in taillights
fixing radius rod when it came loose which pushed my tire back in the wheel well

i wonder why u have to pay $100 all my stuff was free

oh yea and half of these were done while i had my intake in

You know what. I have noticed that problem too. I have a weird sound coming from the engine around 2600 RPM.
I will go around dealers and see if they will fix it for me. I'll let you how it goes

I purchased the lude ~1yr ago used. I got the extended 48000 warranty. It has 100$ deductible, but its better than thousands. The dealers here are cool with me because I reccomend many families to get a honda from them. They know this, and respect me. Im a firm believer in being and a$$ kisser to the right people!

lol, good point. i have my parents pay for all my car sh**. They bought that car for me since my college is basically free b/c of a soccer scholarship. . Oh well, my rents owe me, so I dont really care how much the price is when I head into the dealership! Johnson County pride baby! 3rd richest district in the nation! LoL, but im not a snob, like most people. Most people consider the lude a very slow car, and drive beamers to school everyday.

I bouhgt mine 2 months ago with 85k on it, I bought a full drivetrain warranty for $800, for 3 years/36,000. $25 deductable. A couple weeks ago my engine started eating oil at 1 qt per 400-500 miles. looks like that could be the best $800 I ever spent, I find out tomorrow whats wrong...
