Warm up for 8 mins be4 driving

So I've got to warm up my car for roughly 8-10 mins to operating temp be4 I drive in the morning if i dont it shifts pretty hard or really slow. After i let it warm up its not as bad but its better i still let off the gas when i shift I've got an auto 99 lude. Should have checked this site be4 buying ha ha. Anyways I've put almost 40k on the car in just over 2 yrs bin dealing with the problem since I took the car home jacka55 who I got the car from put some non-slip additive in it. Cars still running but I found a smooth shifting tranny for 200$ had to jump on it jw if there's a solenoid I can take off the new tranny to put on the one that's currently in my car to make it shift smoother or if I should just spend the 350$ in labor to get the new one in
