vtech controller... need help

hi i have a 2000 prelude and want to get a vtec controller. I do not know much about them but want to make sure they arent garbage before i get one. does anyone have any recomendations on what to get? i was looking at this one..

Here's quick advice....Don't buy one. Lowering VTEC in h22's doesn't do any good unless you've got some internal mods to support it.

I second that. Honda spent a lot of money on research to get the optimum vtec point. I've tried the VTEC controllers (and I have quite a few mods) and I know a few others that have tried them but ultimately you will find that it was a waste of time really. Stick to the stock vtec setting as you will find thats the best setting for it and don't go playing with it.

I had one in mine and it was horrible, if it was set to low the car would sputter durring driving and if it was set to high it wouldnt kick in correctly if at all. I wouldnt get one at all.

Theres nothing great about vtec controllers like what they all said. get a s300 hondata ecu chip(will work with stock ecu) and you can adjust just about everything. Get it properly tuned on a dyno tho. the hondata can adjust your vtec and fuel.
