VTEC Issue!

So my question is:

As I drive and engage VTEC @ 5200rpms and as soon as I hit around 6000rpms
my engine oil light flickers on and soon as i shift into fourth gear it goes away.
The light is intermittent and only in VTEC.

You may say low engine oil, but that is weird because I just changed my oil couple days ago and I have no leaks.

Any help or advice on what to check or maybe replace?

Thanks

This may sound like a silly question but you just never know...

After you changed your oil, and made sure you were leak free, did you make sure to put in the correct amount of oil?

when you have an oil light that falshes quickly it means that there is an intermitent drop in oil pressure. it sounds to me like you may have an issue with your oil pressure switch. on occasion when they begin to fail they falsly read out low oil pressure. Many times people who do not change thier oil at the correct intervals will get the flashing oil light as there is sludge buildup and it messes with the sensor. It is kinda weird that you are getting it at 4th gear, usually it appears at idle and goes away when you increase throttle as you increase the oil pressure.

I see well i shall check that oil pressure switch but i get it in 3rd gear while
engaged in vtec not after in 4th sorry if mis-understood.

well i can say this, if your vtec is engaging then i am certaon it is the pressure switch as if you do not have enough oil pressure then the vtec wont engage.
