vtec isnt engaging properly

The sound is there, but the pull isnt. I just got my car back from the dealership lastweek after they put in a new motor. IM guessing they forgot to hook something relatively important back up, any ideas as to what it is? thanks

Same thing happened to me awhile back, and it was like that for about a month, and then all of a sudden, it started working by itself...Maybe if you check your oil level, that may be causing the problem.

I'd take it back to the dealer. If the oil level is to low the rev limiter will kick in and you won't be able to rev the car all the way out

It won't come on if the temp gauge isn't past the "C". Also if the oil is low it won't allow it either. Also it must be able to read the speed sensor. There are like 5 different things required before the vtec engages. I forget the others.
