VIS CF Hoods Good Quality?

For those of you who have them out there, how are they in terms of fitment, quality, and weight? No hood pins needed right? Thanks

i would recomend them over fiber image any day. i have seen alot of them installed though not one on a prelude. the fitment was perfect plus the price is very competitive. i say get it because it looks very clean and i would say it needs pins just to be safe. but i know vis claims u dont need them. peace

mine fits great, it has a bit more weight to it but its because it has a large vent in it and it needs some bulk to withstand the shape and also no hood pins are on!!

Their old hoods were crap

Their new ones, however, look pretty damn good

i have a VIS hood, let me just say "EXCELLENT QUALITY", carbonfiber wrapped around, good latch.

i saw a fiber images hood and it sucked, rough edges, washers always fell out, bubbles on the hood , but it was lighter.

u want looks and durability go with VIS, u want lighter hood go with fiber images

Edit: yes it does fit nicely, like OEM, well almost OEM

Check out Kaminari hoods, they are pretty good quality.

http://www.kaminari.com/new28.htm

Thats the one for the 5th gen.

http://www.kaminari.com/vs.htm

That's some pics of the quality of their hoods.

Not sure bout how competative their prices are though.

Well, you can find them for 600 something on nopi and I'm sure you could find it for even less if you looked around. Still a good bit of money yeah, but if you want a good CF hood then you're prlly gonna have to pay for it.

Go on www.fiberimages.com and watch the videos. Real CF or else it wouldn't bend like that

i've decided. i will buy a VIS hood, as long as it fits as good as, AND has as tight a weave as Dan Yi's "DYI01" Fiber Images hood.
