Vin code

being from holland... we have a big hole for our license plate and a hole for the rear foglight in our 5th gen rear bumper...

i went to the honda dealer to order a USDM rear bumper... but i needed the VIN code for that.... else the guy said he couldnt order anything...

my question
is anyone willing to provide me with a USDM Vin code so i can order one of your nice rear bumpers?
if you dont want to make it public you can pm me

i would greatly appreciate it...
thnx

We have the hole for the license plate here as well. The hole is less wide than yours, as your pictures indicates that you have the wide license plate.

For the rear fog light hole, why not just patch it with urethane or something? This would be a cheaper alternative to paying for a USDM bumper + shipping costs + tax (if applicable) + paint. Just a thought.

i can get a smaller license plate to fit the hole.... like all the imported us cars have here....

and the urethane is eventually going to crack.... so i thought... pay an extra buck and get the right bumper
i dont have to pay extra for shipping... the guy at the dealership assured me it would be around the same price as a "normal" EDM bumper....
and it's gonna be painted anyway...

I guess my question is why would you need the vin? All you should need is the chassis code which is BB6.

i need a us vin-code....
the bb6 was sold here too... so when i order parts from a bb6... i'll get EDM parts...
to get the usdm parts i need the full VIN code... the guy at the dealer told me he needed it.... i told him i'd get it for him (hopefully anyways)

wonder if the part numbers are different between the USDM and EDM...

but as far as vin numbers... i guess you could get one off of ebay or autotrader.com for a vehicle thats listed.

edit: actually... when i was in thailand, i swang by a honda dealer to try and get some H3c bulbs for my jdm fogs... they wanted a vin number to look it up... but it was really hard to explain the whole japan parts on a US car, yada yada, especially considering they aparently didnt get the 5th gen there.

What about a Part Number? someone should have that, and the dealer can use it to order...

Okay...I got tired of lookin at this so:

I went to eBay.com (very simple except a cheeto fell into the keyboard so it took longer than 2 seconds)

Typed in "Honda Prelude" into the little search box thingamajig

And guess what, I found one!

Sorry for the sarcasm(sp?), its just that it was so simple to do..............
