Valve Seals

Question for you guys. My ludes been burning alot lately and i think i tracked it down but i want to get your opinion on this. Basically i did seafoam a couple months ago and i noticed it started about then. When i say i've been burning oil It's a vtec so after about a month it's starting to not wwant to go into vtec and im about 2 to 3 quarts low. Someone was telling me it might be my valve seals (originally i was under the impression it was my pistons). Basically from my understanding if the seals go bad it allows gas to mix in the combustion chamber. My mechanic said it might not be my pistons because it'd be smoking all the time but the only time i notice it smoking is under heavy accelleration (when im in vtec). So my question is does that sound right and if so what seals should i get i've found a bunch of them on the internet and i don't know if i should go with the oem ones or go with these i found Click here. Thanx.
