Valve Adjustment

Just wondering what a good price for a valve adjustment would be. Honda quoted me around $130 i think. I've never had my valves adjusted before and i'm around 45,000+ miles. How much of a gain should I expect after the job? Thanks.

I'll do it for $20. Drive down to San Diego. I believe you could buy the tool for $40, read the post below on how to do it, finish it in about 45 minutes and do a few friends' cars to cover the cost of the tool and come out with more money for food.

As for the gains, minimal if any. You could acquire a half-a degree of overlap, but if they were pretty loose to begin with, you just may gain a few horsies....
