ECU wiring harness?

I was going to get a field wiring harness to hook up my VAFC because I did not want to tap into my stock wires. But I have recently found a stock ecu wiring harness. I want to know if I get it, could I hook my VAFC to the new harness and switch it out with the one in my car (they are the same). The idea is if I ever need to take it out it will be stock again.

Yes you can use the Field harness for the Apexi unit, and remove it whenever you wish. Goto http://geocities.com/araxtypesh/ for more information.

No, I am asking if it is ok to use another factory ecu harness. Not a field harness.

Well, if you only have one end of the harness(female end), its not gonna do you much good. You need both ends female and male, which is impossible to get because the male end of the harness is the ECU itself.

If I was to get the whole ecu and harness, would it work? It is from the same year car as mine. The two ecu's should be the same wouldn't they?

that would be far too much work to replace the whole ecu harness IMO, get the fields harness or splice into the stock one.

The field harness is an adaptor for your stock harness. It has a male end which goes to your stock harness female end and a female end which goes to your ECUs male end. The only way for you to do this is to get another stock harness, then remove the male end connector from the ECU, then solder the wire end of the stock harness to the male end of the ECU. You've now created the field harness. btw, that's A LOT of work to resolder like 50 pins... but hey, if you've got time and spare parts lying around... The only other problem is removing the male connector from the ECU... That'd pretty much deem your ECU to end of life. have fun.
