VAFC Installation Settings for VAFC owners

Installed the VAFC.

Now fot he INITIAL Programming.

I choose, 4 Cylinders, Voltages are good (when throttle is closed its 0 ~ 1v, and when throlle is pushed it is 3v ~5v).

1. Now, do I choose 06 06 for sensor settings? Do preludes have 6 sensors?

2. Also, do I choose the arror pointing up or down or the "**"??? I don't understand what they mean by the "Throttle Sensor Type", If somone can plz elaborate cuz the manual doesn't really explain what is it.

3. Also, for the final setting how do I perform the "Throttle Self Learning"???

5. Now I left all other settings at 0%, except the low and high (closed and wide) are set to 10% and 50%. Since that was the stock VAFC. Now I figured that it doesn't really matter what they are since the closed and wide adjustment are at 0% anyway. Is that correct?

thanx guys.

The manual is on the Apex'i web site : http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocu...onics_vafc.pdf

They give instructions on how to set it up. Also see the N/A performance library thread for a link on how to tune it (if you have the resources).

ya I read the manual. I just want to check on the number of sensors if it was 6, I mean why woudn't it have set it to 6 regardless since they want you to change it to that for all the cars.

Manual isn't very clear about the "Throtle Sensor Type", but figured out it has to point up. Now the part about the ""Throttle Self Learning" is very vauge. Hence my post.

thanx..

Quote:
nikolai911:
fuel settings are at +/- 0%
VTEC engagement at 5000 RPM
VTEC disengagement at 4800 RPM
VTEC unmt +2%.

Leave it like that till you get to a dyno...you'll thank me later.
