Nah, I was thinking. Like people said; too much work for not much gain. Better to go a V8. If it won't fit up the front, rip the rear seats out and put it in the back.
This may be a little farther down the road, but you should definately look into getting one of the new Search Intake Systems from Greedy. It's got a new noobulizing filter that has been proven to dramatically increase hp and tq over stock levels.
edit: There are quite a few people, especially newer members, that are looking for a Search Intake System. It would probably be useful if you got a group together for a groupbuy.
You should make a Search Intake System groupbuy thread. I bet you could get a pretty big group for it. Probably save a lot of cash, too...
FTW

I am quite sure that swapping a v6 into a Prelude 5th gen would be relatively easy. Considering there are several places that have done the Jspec 3.5L Honda Pilot motor with 05 Acura TL Type S 6speed LSD transmission. A place on youtube did a professional install and the, I believe, owner of the shop says the swap was fairly simple--only removed one transmission bracket, no frame modification needed. The owner even states that they did not have to make custom brackets, they used some Hasport mounts for the entire swap!
In short, if it can be done in a tiny civic engine bay, I'm sure the Prelude's massive front end/engine bay would be more than suitable for a v6. As for RWD/AWD conversions, it's whatever floats your boat, bud.

If they can wedge a V6 J series motor in an EG chassis, then I think a BB6 chassis would be doable as well. It would prob take a lot of fab work, but still doable.
