US H22 on JDM Trans

I have a US H22A. Friend of mine has JDM H22 Trans.....he wants to give it to me. Would the gear ratios be different....the tranny would work to my advantage or disadvantage?

From what I have read the gear ratios are longer, better for turbo, but without turbo its not a good idea, because you fall out of VTEC.

I thought the JDM tranny (m2b4) had shorter gears which is better for acceleration. And has LSD. Correct me if I am wrong.

Well if it is the M2B4 then yes it has the LSD and shorter gears. The shifting between gears is much nicer you stay in VTEC all the time.
There is a little difference in the Bolt pattern between the US and jdm trannies... But it DEFENTLY fits. There the the motor/tranny brace that you will miss one bolt... No big deal though. if you have a chance to get it then DEFENTLY do it. The Tranny is a really nice piece. I just did mine over Christmas

I am definitely putting in a M2B4 tranny when I get back from Iraq. Along with the Mugen suspension and maybe some Recaro seats. Still contemplating the JRSC.
