Type SH Body! HELP!

I am a proud new owner of a 98 Prelude and love it! I know it is a Type SH and from what the previous owner had told me was that the Type SH has a wider body than the standard base. So my first question is "Is this true?" and my second question has to do with buying parts for it. If the body is wider does that mean that i will have to buy Type SH parts for the body such as a rear and front bumper or should any of these parts fit base and SH type models? Any help would be great, thank you.

The SH body is no wider than that of a base Lude. Our suspension on the SH and ATTS is different then that of the base, and then a few cosmetic things here and there - door lights, no 3rd brake light... but as far as bumpers go you dont have to worry about buying any particular one other than the mugen front

Sounds like the previous owner was trying to help his sale buy claiming a widebody

I don't want to sound like a jerk but do your beautiful car a favor, and don't put a body kit on it. Unless its an oem lip. Honestly imho ive never seen a prelude with a body kit that looks good.

For the hood, check online prelude forums and ebay/craigslist. Also check local salvage yards. For the body kit, check the garbage.

No really after looking there are very few body kits that look decent on this car. I just doesn't look good with a lot of the body kits that are out there. As for looking in the salvage yards, i am in germany right now and these cars seem to be far and few between. but im def gonna go do some digging. The oem lip looks good, thanks for all the help guys, appreciate it. This car is going to stay looking like a Prelude and look amazing.

Dont worry man they're hard to find in salvage yards here too. I spent the weekend at Crazy Ray's (the local pick & pull salvage yards in MD), they have like 4 locations, couldnt find a single fifth gen in the 2 i went to :/, had to get an alternator off of an accord that had an f series engine (but it worked :P, cant beat $20 alternator thats in almost perfect condition)
