A big problem with forums is that useful information gets buried quickly, and when you do find it, you're basically listening in on an old conversation, most of which have ups and downs and twists and turns and occasional nonsense to throw you off or frustrate you. Forums are great when the subject is being discussed. At the end of the discussion the participants tend to have a grasp of the subject, or what was known about it at the time.
That doesn't mean one shouldn't search, or that searching isn't helpful, it's just that the information is diluted and a bit polluted.
I am on an Opel forum a lot these days because I race an Opel GT in LeMons. It's much the same there except most of the members are significantly older than the Honda crowds. Nevertheless, it is a rich source of information, but when you have specific questions, things you need to know and do, it is a chore. What I have been doing is compiling, by cutting and pasting, information on subjects I need to know well, such as Weber carburetor tuning, editing it a bit, then it will go up as a wiki page. Their forum has a wiki feature. Once I have my article ready I'll put it up and the others can add, subtract, and make corrections.
The Prelude community has, or had, NTPOG, which was excellent, but it looks like that was a lot of work and took dedication. A wiki does, too, but not as much.
So, how about a Prelude Wiki?
Oh, and I'd go with a base model, a Quaife, Tien-SS (if you can find them) and Neuspeed sway bars, stock rotors, HP+ pads and Motul 600 brake fluid.
