I'm in the middle of a similar swap right now, where my shop is using the USDM harness, the JDM ECU, and they're trying to futz with the distributor to make it all work.
I'm guessing they're running into problems where the USDM harness doesnt work with the JDM distributor, so one of them mentioned that they're going to use the USDM coil, and do an external coil conversion. I'm guessing this isnt going to work.
My question is more along the lines of what needs to be done with the USDM harness to make it work with the JDM doodads :P
I think the shop needs a push in the right direction, the "external coil" idea didnt sound like it was going to work.... any help is appreciated :P
