Type S Steering Wheel

Okay i've been wanting to change my steering wheel for a while now but the only thing is i drive alot to and from work so i wanna keep my cruise controls. Now i've searched and from my understanding you lose your cruise control buttons. But i've seen some type S steering wheels that allow you to keep them. Im wondering was it an option or is there a way to keep yours on there. Or maybe even buy the s2000 cruise buttons and put them on there. Here's a really nice pic of one i found.

JDM prelude steering wheel has the same diameter as the USDM, the only good thing left about it is the three-spoke design. You could get a s2k wheel w/ cc buttons, theyre also smaller than our prelude wheel, which is good.

true that, but I kinda like the s2k wheel better, though. Plus, s2k wheels are easier to find and maybe cheaper too.

The JDM steering wheel is about an inch smaller in diameter than the USDM.

I am not completely sure about this part but from what I recall, the cruise control was only optional on EDM (European) Preludes. I know you can buy the part in Europe, for sure though.

I would recommend just getting an s2k wheel. they are even smaller in diameter and feel great. And, you can wire the cruise control up too.

Have you thought about a DC5 Integra Type R wheel? I've seen it done and from memory you can keep the cruise control.

Or try sourcing an AUDM wheel, because minus the red stitching ours are the same three spoke design, and all come with cruise.

Ended up going with an s2000 wheel on ebay. 275 w/ free shippig and airbag. Not a bad deal. Saw the writeup on ntopg and i found a thread about s2k wheels and atts seems i gotta cut a notch in it. I should get it in stock next week so i'll keep you guys posted.

Yes, you will have to cut out the third notch. Its not too hard. I think 'Keith' did a write-up on that. Search for it.

yeah i found the writeup so im hoping all goes well. One question though, recently i helped my boy replace his steering wheel in his integra (figured good practice). It was a simple swap from one integra to another. Anyways we took the airbag out and loosened the bolt and we were able to pull the old steering wheel off without a steering wheel removal tool. Is it really necessary or did we just not need it on his car but i do need it on mine. thankx.
