the type S lip i think is bigger and does not have a sides and rears to compliment it. there is a thread aroudn that shows what all the prelude models look like in japan and there is a picture of a black Type S and it has the lip, which looks pretty big compared to the OEM lip

No.. type-s lip is smaller that the OEM lip, it goes perfect w/the sh sides and rear.. whereas the OEM lip hangs a little bit lower that the sh sides..

I have a type-s lip. Smaller than USDM...which must be used with the full kit to look decent, IMHO. The type-s can be used with regular sides and looks great.

While the usdm lip may be discountinued, the jdm type-s will live on for a while, according to a buddy of mine in Japan.

If you want to see a pic...PM and I'll repspond....I don't have a hosting site...

Bucket...

I looked at the pic bucket e-mailed me and it really does look good with the stock SH sides, like it was made to go with the stock kit.
Bucket- are they available in stock colors or did you have to get it painted???

Oh, I figured that was the only color "Inline Four" had in stock... I figured that in Japan it would come prepainted, just like the USDM front lip/kit. Perhaps one af the BBS's sponsers can hook us up

The colors in the Japan may be, and some are, diffently different than USDM. Satin Silver is one of those colors only made for the USDM not the JDM.

If you get a real one...ensure you're paint codes are similar, or you'll have to paint it.

Otherwise pic up a "good" replica and paint it...

By the way...the pic on inline4 is NOT a type-s lip...I'm not sure what that is...it looks like USDM and someone erased the top edges to make it look smaller. It's hideous...

Instead look at FX Design's website...

I like the look of the Type S lip... Where else besides inline four can I get one (360+ unpainted is a little steep for me).

hmmmm.....I always thought the Type-S front lip was the same as the OEM kit. Here are pics of 2 JDM Type-S preludes I found online.
