turn signals wont work...........need help

ok here the situation.............i was reading a thread and saw how people made there turn signals and sidemarkers blink so i wanted to do it , didnt seem that hard so i followed the directions..... took the black wire( sidemarkers one) and cut it and hook it up to the green one on the turn signal , so i went to try it and my parking/sidemarkers work but my turn signals dont work ......the front ones or the back ones not even with the hazards. damn i think i f***ked up . need help if someone has dont this and knows what i did wrong or if u can help at all let me know

when you cut the green wire did you rehook it up to the other piece of green wire, or did you only wire it to the new side marker? you should have just spliced the wire and made the connection, not cut it.

You blew a fuse. Done that plenty of times - you can't short out the lights or else that's what happens. But all is not loss, just change the fuse - it's under the dash and there are a couple of extra ones in there as well as a fuse puller. Or it might be in the fuse box in the engine compartment - can't remember.

damn man ur good, i blew a fuse my boys dad look at the hazard fuse and it was burnt so i replaced and it work fine , thanks for the help . just to let u know what i did wrong is i cut black wire on the side marker and attached the side coming from the car instead of the one coming from the light, but thanks fot the info

You're welcome - and that would definately short out the circuit (basically no load).
