TSB 01-093 (Relating To Primary O2 Sensor)

You can see the PDF of this TSB here:

http://members.shaw.ca/FifthGenTSB1/...IL%20P0133.pdf

I throw a CEL P0133 (Slow Response from Primary O2 Sensor) about every month. I was about to buy a new O2 sensor and replace it myself when I stumbled upon this TSB. I have the extended 100,000 mile warranty, so does this mean I can get the O2 sensor replaced for free? If so, that would be great!

I think there was quite a few threads on this long time ago I believe..

I still wonder if they will warranty it if you have aftermarket mods..

yea, I did a search and found some threads, but none explicitly said one way or the other on whether or not they will fix it under warranty. The only mods I have that "could" effect the emissions system would be an intake and cat-back (but that is after the primary O2, so it should not effect it at all)

I know this is old but I just went through this so maybe it will help someone. I was getting the CEL for the Primary O2 sensor every few months so this latest time, I decided to take it in to Honda. I have 57,000 on my 01 and have the Honda Care warranty. They fixed it, no questions asked even though I have a Greddy SP. I know that the Primary O2 is forward of the cat but I still figured they'd give me a hard time but they said nothing of it and fixed it for free. On top of that, my gas mileage has gone up and even though I didn't have too much of a hesitation issue, I can definitely tell that it's much smoother, especially with the AC on. Hope this helps somebody.

TSB or not, if you're still throwing a CEL and under warranty, Honda should fix it. Mine was fixed under warranty without TSB notice; though I was stock at the time.

Took it in today to get fixed...(99,300 on the odometer, have honda-care till 100,000) Turns out Honda Care warranties have an expiration date and mine expired in April...I had no idea there was a date, I thought it was based on miles only...then they had the audacity to quote me $300 for a new O2 sensor, $96 for diagnostics (takes 30 seconds to plug in scanner and check) and I walked out as they were quoting the labor...phucking bandits...oh well, I went to oxygensensors.com and ordered the universal one for $59 and I will do it myself ($59 and an hour of my time vs. probably over $500 through Honda for 1 damn O2 sensor)
