Is it true GC coillvers have different types for different shocks?

Like you have to choose at the beginning if your gonna get after market shocks or not.

one is for koni shocks, the other works with stock or anything other than koni

Just a small addition-the Koni uses a "perch plate" rather than the welded on piece.
