i always seem to have trouble shifting into reverse, even when i'm at a full stop and i try to shift, it won't get into gear...and it usually takes me a really long time to do so

put it into another gear and then try to put it in, or rev a little then try it

I had the same problem and then one day I couldn't go into reverse at all--take it to the dealer (if you have a short shift adapter take it off first) and since your car is still under warranty they'll take care of it-- It's your synchronizer, just make sure to remove any shortshifter adapters you might have on there. They ended up replacing my snychronizer and a few other parts in the tranny--seems to be a big prob w/ ludes.

What I've done to help get it in gear is blip the throttle a little bit and then get it into gear. It helps out most of time.

This happens in a lot of different cars. Due to the fact with the reverse syncro. Put it in first gear first then put it in reverse, it should work. If not, just take your time and don't force it in. I've had problems like that with all the manual transmition cars I've had.

reverse doesn't have a synchro; it only has a idler gear that changes the spinning direction, or something like that. Correct me if i'm worng.

you spelled "wrong" wrong other than that, you are right, no synchro on reverse, just the idler gear. try shift into reverse while moving like you'd with the forward gears, or better yet, don't try.
