Yes & yeap they wear out as well. My 5th gear grind was mostly because of the sleve it was damaged and they fixed that as well with a new synchro. It's alot more than we think. It's around $1000+ for a good synchro transmission replacement.

Yea the site above has 'master' rebuild kits that seem to include sleeves but just not for the H22.

I got to do a lot more learning before I attempt to tear this thing down myself... was just hoping i could accumulate all the parts that I would need for the complete rebuild BEFORE I open it up so that I wouldn't have to have it opened up for weeks while waiting for parts.

I'm about to tear open a used M2Y4 to check for wear. I was going to go with the synchrotech rebuild kit with all seals, bearings, and synchros. I'll have to check to see if the sleves were included. Kit was only $350, not bad for all those seals and bearings..

I do not think that they did include the sleeves.

Out of curiosity, what else could potentially need replacing assuming normal wear and tear during a rebuild?

Yes i know there could be extensive damage on certain things... but what goes when it comes to age/wear/tear.. not just due to straight up damage from negligence etc..

I think just mostly those parts that are included are what need to be replaced when service.

Seals, bearings, sleeves, and snychros. Other stuff probably would be find unless driver was really harsh. Thats just my idea though, I have never worked on a trans and have only read forums on rebuilding them.
