Transmission (5 speed) dipstick question?

Today I was showing my dad my recent work under the hood and we noticed a small hollow cylinder underneath my intake. I immediately thought that I must be missing a dipstick from my transmission. Do our cars have transmission dipsticks? If so then I am correct right? I am guessing this happened because I have have my tranny serviced at my local Honda twice. What is my best option at this point? I covered it in electrical tape for the time being. Any input will be greatly appreciated! The car is a 2001 5 speed base btw.

At least for the 5spd's, no.

I am guessing that your "hollow tube" is probably for a vacuum line. Can you post a picture of it?

Its not a tube, and i already checked to see if it was a vaccume line. Its a metal cylinder that is thin and sticks straight up. It is slightly smaller than the cylinder for the oil dipstick, but looks almost identical. And like I said It is under my intake pipe near the tranny. A moderator on PreludePower just told me it is supposed to be that way and that he is sure of it.

Well, I don't know what it is. I could go look at my car, but it is dark and raining at the moment. However, it definitely is not for a transmission dipstick because there isn't one on a 5spd prelude.
