tranny switch on an sh

I know a lot of people are swapping trannies now a day and i just wondered if i could swap a transmission like and accord type r in an sh model prelude. Would i have to lose atts?

Yes you would lose ATTS, and the SH block and tranmissions ae not the same as Base or 4th gen ones.

Somebody tols me it can be done, but it would be a lot of modification to mate anything other than an SH tranny to an Sh engine.

The only problem should be removal of the ATTS (swap to a base ECU?) and getting the intermediate shaft bolted to the block. It all can be done, but is more complicated than a "normal" tranny swap.

with the work done to your motor didn't you lose atts anyways? my atts is long gone after all that head work, so now i'm switchin to obd1 and just givin up on atts. you should do that too. you'll get alot out of obd1 swap.
