Tranny removal - Honda Prelude Forum

Does anyone have a diagram of how to take the tranny off a 2000 Prelude? I'm in the process of taking the tranny off to replace my clutch, but I can't find all the bolts. I've taken out all the ones I can see, but I know there are more than what I've removed. If anyone with a helm manual can post pics of how to take the tranny off, can you post it for me

damn if you lived in s cali i would help you out. but its not that hard to take it out. its time consuming though

Base?

If so, you'll have a little easier time at it than I (SH). If you have the car on a lift, it makes it much easier to see...all of the bolts should be visible from the top or bottom of the car once all of the wires and hoses are out of the way.

Once you get the tranny off, it's going to be difficult to get out. The tranny housing is actually wider than the the space between the two cross memebers. I had to rotate the tranny about 30-45 degrees to get the clearence to get it out.

I finally got the damn tranny off about 2 hours ago, now its being a ***** to get it back on...Me and Mr. Michelin (floor jack) sucks. Sometimes I would get it up on there, then it'd just fall off the jack....Anyone local wanna help me out tomorrow

Too bad you didn't bring it to me. I've done about 10 tranny swaps on Preludes (no lie).

I won't have time to help tomorrow, though. I have a ton of things to do for my own car.
