Tranny Fluid Recommendations?

I'll be changing my transmission fluid this weekend as part of the whole 90k thing. I was wondering what brands etc. you guys recommend for tranny fluid? Manual of course.

do you have any grinds or does your tranny still shift like gold? the new honda mtf will be perfectly sufficient if your tranny is still in good shape. if you do get some grinds then i would recommend the non-synthetic gm synchromesh. search for both of them and you'll find more info. i started one of the big threads on gm synchromesh so you'll probably be able to find alot of info on that in that thread.

2 quarts.

I've always just used the Honda stuff - no problems. I actually had the 5th gear grind for a while (like 40k miles), then at some point it went away . . . not sure why. Would probably try the GM Synchromesh if I had other problems.

I've did GM Synchromesh and now Redline MTF in my tranny. Didn't notice a difference between the two.

You are lucky. Syncro's must still be in good shape. I hear our tranny's don't like redline. Too thin & not enough friction additives. New Tranny?
