Tranny Cooler Installed.... ::Review::

I got my tranny flushed and fluid changed tonight, while we were at it we installed my tranny cooler...

I havent spent a ton of time in the car since Ive had it on, but I can tell already it shifts so much smoother... no more ::CLUNK:: when I go to Reverse... almost don't notice the shifts from 1 2 3 4....

..It wasn't 'easy' to install, the radiator is tough to get through without F'ing it up... but we got it on... and managed to keep it looking nice too... I'll get pics asap...

I got it for free through a trade for some software, but they run about 30$ you can get them at any auto store, I spent an extra 10$ on hose that fit right, rather than using the junk that came with the cooler, but 40$ is worth the smoothness it gives the SS tranny, not to mention the fact that it will probably double the life of it.

I very strongly reccomend this mod to anyone with an SS.

i just put one in my car too and i can tell the difference. what kind of fluid did you use?? i use b&m trick shift. i want to try synthetic but i heard a while back that it's not good for our trannies. i mounted mine between the radiator and the a/c condensor. there is about a 2 inch gap in between and it sits in there. mine's a fluidyne, by the way. another mod that i would suggest is a lower temp thermostat. i have a spoon thermostat and the car runs up to 30 degrees cooler. how's doing 70 on the highway and the temp gauge is barely 160? by the way, car looks awesome. i'm a huge fan of the clean look. paint looks sweet.

We'll man, I used Honda ATF Fluid... Im scared to try anything else with something as expensive as this tranny... I figure if anyone knows what it needs its the jerkoff's who made the thing... so I stuck with that.. its a sexy red color..

mine is infront of the radiator, behind the mesh grill that the hood closes to...

Are you sure it wasn't just the changing of the fluids?
